Everyone needs his own place! After many months of trying to define what I want to do with my space... I still can't decide. A reflection on life perhaps ?

Meet the Parents...

Ok, so when I saw that movie I thought it was a complete joke. All this stuff does not happen in real life - brother was I wrong. Pallavi's parents arrived (finally) yesterday (now day before) and boy was there a cold war on! Her dad is friendly enough, her mum of course needs a little more work ;) Correction, a lot more work! Today at least she spoke to me a little, and even called me by my name. We went to the wax works museum (Madame T's) and had fun there, though they were very tired out (acutally so was I). But I was the official photographer, snap a picture here, snap one there and don't miss that one - not that I was displeased with the entire affair, just a little disoriented !! But her father is nice enough, very educated and very knowledgable with interesting stories about everything. Of course a bit dated but that is to be expected. I mean, one must be fair, they are a little out of their element over here!

Well, let us see what the remainder of the week has in store for us - correction ... in store for me!

Oh and on a related note - yes I did get grilled about where my parents are from and what my grand parents used to do and what my father used to do. And yes I did cook the most AWESOME simlamirch aaloo this evening, which unfortunately for me, my room mates gobbled up most of!

Engagement!

Well well well, apparently the latest news is that my leader, RAJA TANGELLAMUDI, aka Tango, is engaged! See, this is what happens if you go home for a bit. You get engaged. Even the shortest of trips can be fatal.

But, that aside, I fight my own battles this weekend when I take Pallavi and her parents to Washington DC. That is going to be fun.. I can just feel the fun!! The fact that I am driving down is enough to jack my insurance fees up.. add to that Pallavi's parents and my chances of survival are getting very slim indeed.

As mum said, no one is going to eat me, no one is going to eat me... I just need to keep repeating that... no one is going to eat me...

Java Design.

Finally found a good book that lays out the GUI design rules for Java. Lots of the stuff I agree with and it makes sense. It definitely feels better to know that other people do it the same way I do!
